Black Venture Network seeks to increase the representation of Black founders, investors & operators in venture capital.

Our Story

Whether you’re a first-time founder, experienced operator, or emerging investor, BVN is designed to support you at every stage of your journey.

Black Venture Network began as Blackout Tuesday VC, a collective response by Phoenix Court, to the lack of Black representation in venture capital and startup ecosystems following the global reckoning of 2020.

What started as a statement became a movement and has evolved into a platform committed to building equity through action.

By hosting intentional events, nurturing meaningful community, and sharing practical resources, we’re reimagining what venture can look like and who gets to shape it.

Black Venture Network is backed by Phoenix Court, the number one ranked seed-stage venture investor in Europe, home to LocalGlobe, Latitude & Solar investment funds.
